I had the opportunity to work at Deer Creek for a time, and I can tell you that the staff and leadership team are wonderful! Putting your loved one in a nursing facility is always a difficult time emotionally, but Deer Creek really is more caring than the majority of other facilities you will find. There are many residents who have lived at Deer Creek for years, and who made Deer Creek feel like home for the employees as well. The pandemic has created so many challenges for nursing facilities nation-wide and progress is a constant. I still have friends and family working at Deer Creek so I felt a good review was due.

She needed continued care for pneumonia and inability to move around on her own due to the weakness caused by the illness. She was transported to this facility still on oxygen and a cath. The facility had started working on the ins auth on Thursday, she wasn't moved until Monday. They plopped her on an air bed with a plastic mattress in another room. Her transfer bedding was all jumbled and not completely under her so she was laying mostly on the plastic in a hot room for hours. They brought her food, in a togo box, and plopped it down in front of her and walked away.

She would not have been able to get to it to eat on her own. At this point I'm furious and go looking for someone to help. Ast don follows me back down the hall but didn't come in to the room to speak with me or the patient.
